wow. i am unbelievably grateful for the kickstarter support. the fact that so many people would get behind this project makes me want to cry and smile and sing.

right now, things are going slowly.
kids, family, job, sickness, sleeping…
all making the recording process slow down. but that’s okay. i’m not a full time recording artist.
i’m working hard, but not fast.
we’re still expecting the release to be in the first few months of 2012.
woo hoo

here’s what rock of all the ages looks like right now

well, this is crazy. let’s raise some money.
please head over to KICKSTARTER to pre-order the album and help raise the funds to make it all happen.
thanks so so much.

seeing songs come to life.
drums are finished, guitars and keys and vocals are well on their way, and ideas are popping up for every song.
we are working hard to make this album a sonic delight.

In the winter of 2007, Green Valley Church went through a preaching series on the book of Revelation. Glorying in hope of eternity, the worship team took on the project of writing and recording one song from each of the 7 songs in the book. Each one anticipates the joy of being with Jesus, experiencing His justice, righteousness, and restoration forever and ever.

so, this January marked the third beginning of a full length album project.
the key this time is having brian albright work with me to record and produce it.
here’s a video of brian turning his sg into a lapsteel :)

we also got a chance to use a tape delay unit

pretty great.

also got a chance to record with ryan and shane.

hooray!

in 2008, our church gave a 100 dollar bill to 30 people to invest in the kingdom of God however they chose. somehow, i ended up with one of the bills and turned it into a recording project. the goal was to raise money for Blood:Water Mission. an organization that builds fresh water wells in areas that have none. that year, we raised over 2300 dollars, which is almost enough to get a whole well!

the album is a mix of hymns, recorded simply.
you can listen to a couple, if you’d like

the album is still available.
it’s 10 dollars, and every cent goes straight to the organization.
thanks!

well. one week of songwriting is over.
im glad it’s done and i’m glad i did it.
it was both refreshing and tiring to be creative again.

here’s a quick recording of you lift the tired hands.
God is faithful. and that’s cool.
